Meet with church family through the week

At St Christopher's, our community thrives throughout the week. Explore the many ways you can connect, grow, and serve with us beyond our Sunday services. Everyone is welcome to join in.

Prayer meeting

We meet on the 1st Sunday of the month at 4pm in the church hall. All ages are welcome to join us for around 45 minutes of prayer, thanking God for His good gifts and lifting up our church, community, nation, and world. There are set prayers available, and also space to pray as you feel led.

Home groups

We have two home groups running: Wednesday at 7:45pm and Thursday at midday. These groups are a friendly space to explore God’s Word, discuss what it means for our lives today, and pray for one another.

No prior Bible knowledge is needed, and everyone finds encouragement and support in these gatherings. Contact Rev Joe for more details.

Craft and chat

Every Friday afternoon, from 2–4pm, we meet together for Craft and Chat, a relaxed and friendly space where you can bring along your own craft project and enjoy spending time with others.

Whether you enjoy knitting, sewing, crocheting, card making, painting, or any other craft, you'll find a warm welcome and good conversation. It's a great opportunity to meet new people, share ideas, and enjoy a couple of hours of creativity and friendship together.

No special skills are required, and everyone is welcome to come along.

Messy Church Service

Every Good Friday at 10:30am

Each Good Friday, we gather in the main church for a special all-age Messy Church service, reflecting together on the events of the very first Good Friday through an interactive and engaging time of worship and learning.

After the service, the fun continues with a wide range of activities taking place around the church building, helping us to explore the Easter story together. There are crafts, games, biscuit decorating, and plenty of hot cross buns and snacks to enjoy.

Whether you're young or old, coming on your own or as a family, this is a service that really is for everyone.

Chocolate Bingo

Look out for details of this year's Chocolate Bingo on the website. It usually takes place on a Friday evening during, or close to, the Easter holidays.

People of all ages are invited to enjoy an evening of bingo with some fabulous chocolate prizes up for grabs. All money raised goes towards supporting the work of the church, and it's always a fun and friendly event.

Everyone is welcome to come along and join in.

Christmas Fair

Look out for details of this year's Christmas Fair on the website.

Our Christmas Fair takes place from 10am–1pm and is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the season together. You'll find local vendors selling their goods, along with games, food, and stalls run by church members raising funds to support the work of the church.

There are also raffles, tombolas, and plenty of festive fun for all ages. Everyone is very welcome.

Baptisms & weddings

Baptisms and weddings are important moments in the life of the church, and we would be delighted to help you celebrate them.

Whether you are exploring baptism for yourself or your child, or are considering getting married at St Christopher's, we would love to talk with you and answer any questions you may have.

Giving

God is a generous God who gives us every good thing we have. He holds nothing back from us: the Father gave His only Son so that we might have eternal life, and Jesus left the glory of heaven to lay down His life so that we might share in His riches. Through the Holy Spirit, God gives us the same heart of generosity, shaping us to be generous in every area of our lives, including with our money.

Our giving is a response of thankfulness for all that God has given us. Christians give their time, open their homes, and give their money so that the good news of our generous God can continue to be shared with others.

Each week during our services, a collection is taken to support the work of the church in spreading this good news. Many people give regularly through standing orders during the week and therefore simply pass the collection plate by during the service.
